Lessons (2005/06 prices, without taxes)

All private or group instruction can be taken on shaped skis, snowboard or Snowblades.

Group lessons: C$57 for a 90-minute session in the morning; C$50 for an afternoon session.

First-timer packages: The Learn to Ski and Learn to Ride programs are 90-minute lessons that include lift ticket and rentals for C$69 at 9:15 a.m. or 11 a.m. and C$59 if taken at 1:15 p.m.

Private lessons: A 90-minute private lesson from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. costs C$118; from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., C$106. One hour of private lesson in the morning costs C$102; one hour in the afternoon costs C$82.

Special programs: Ski Week includes three hours of lessons daily, all with the same instructor. Adults pay C$233 for four days; teens 13–17 pay C$243. The program also includes a welcome reception, race, dinner and souvenir video tape. Book at least seven days in advance and receive a discounted price. Call (888) 857-8043.

First Tracks allows you to board the Express gondola anytime after 7:15 a.m., have a buffet breakfast at the Grand Manitou summit chalet and begin skiing at 8 a.m. for C$18 plus your lift ticket.


Racing: The Chrono-Course is open every day on Promenade.
